Maybe they're out watering gardens and pulling weeds...? On vacation? Sitting in front of the AC to keep cool? Preparing for July 4 and/or family reunions? Also, you have gmail, and if memory serves, you don't get a copy of your own emails back when you're on gmail. At least that's the way it was a while back. Seems to me there was/is a way around that under Tools> Account Settings? I no longer remember. I have Thunderbird, so get my emails back.
