Lars, the Sheep Company ran sheep all over the state of Washington and maybe further. Lewiston, ID and Clarkston, WA are right across the Snake River from each other. If he was working for the Sheep Company, there might not have been a record of him in the local town as he would have been living out by the sheep herd. I will look to see what can be found, but I don't hold out much hope. I can call the Holy Rosary Church Office in Moxee and see what can be found. I went to East Valley High School, which takes in Moxee City, and there was a Judy Schmitz, might have been Schmit, been 55 years since I graduated and I have kind of lost touch. My memory isn't what it used to be either. Leslie Quist I sent this to Lars Olayne instead of to the Norway list, and I didn't see it come back thru the list, so I am sending it again. Hermiston is a loooong way from here. Last time I was through there was over 40 years ago. The report goes thusly. 'There is a place online called Washington State Digital Archives. I went there and found a marriage certificate for John Jos. Jorgenson of Lewiston Idaho and Miss Anna Schmitz of Yakima. Their certificate was dated 2 April 1913 and the marriage date is the 14th of April 1913. They were married by L.A. LaMontague, Pastor, A Roman Catholic Priest.' Is this your John Jorgenson? The middle name doesn't track with the info I have seen from you. I haven't had time to go downtown to the main library lately, when I do, I will be sure to email you what I find. Leslie Quist
