It's where my ancestors settled not long after the Mayflower landed for a century and a half until the Revolutionary War when they were proscribed and banished from MA and then went to New Brunswick, Canada, altho the one son in my branch went to Vinalhaven, Maine. Marshfield, MA is just south of the port city of Boston where some immigrants arrived. If they were farmers at heart, I would agree that Marshfield, Wisconsin is the most likely place. I note in the Wikipedia page it's in both Wood County and Marathon County, WI. If they were sailors, Marshfield, MA might be the destination. Beste, Bev On 5/7/2017 10:33 AM, Lars E.
