    3. :-) Mange Tusen Takk, Halvor! What is the source of your info? The dates provide me with a much shorter time to find the microfilm images that I have not already found for the siblings, and while I knew Karen Andersdatter had to have died during those ten years between the censuses, I hadn't found her death record yet, so that is invaluable. (Ditto info on the second wife and their child.) Thank you so much. Having dates helps a great deal when one does research by family grouping (as I do), rather than just one person. Oddly, it is the emigration information that I am having problems with. Johan Ottosen/Ottesen, Oline's brother, also emigrated to America. 1900 US census lists Johan's year of immigration as 1882 (they were married in 1895, his wife was born in Iowa to Norwegian parents; they had two children). He died in Polk County, Minnesota in 1902 and I have the cemetery information on him. Of the two records for Helene Ottosdatter moving to Eidsfold in 1884 (two different months), I suspect one of them may technically be for Oline, but in the image section the Utflytting records are a mess for Ringsaker (if the person writing the records was as disorganized as the records, he could have easily made a mistake in recording the two sisters as one and the same for two different months; I just do not know). While I can find one record for Helene in the proper year, I haven't yet found the other one. The person recording the information puts different years in the column for Utflytting, but records them in different years, and that is consistent for a ten year period that I searched; it's as though he has a stack of papers from many different years, then sits down and records them when he has the time; they're not in chronological order. In the old Digitalarkivet database for transcriptions, I found Utflytting records for Oline Ottosdatter's siblings moving to Eidsfold, Østfold: Ole (1880), Karoline (1882), and two records for two different months of 1884 for Helene (one of which I suspect should technically be for Oline - Eidsfold is the only place I found with the location name Fjeldberg, which is the name she used as her American surname when she married Christian Evensen Solien in 1895 in Polk County, Minnesota (she uses the spelling Lina for her first name, middle initial O, and other records show her birth name as Ottoson [sic]). Christian/Christ/Krist was born in Vestre Toten, and I have the information on him. I have two years of immigration for Oline (US records), but don't know if either one is correct; she used the names Oline/Lina O. Fjeldberg, but in other records the name Ottoson/Otteson is recorded for her birth name. I have not found either her or Johan Ottosen/Ottesen in the Digitalarkivet emigration databases for Oslo/Kristiania or Fredrikstad. http://gda.arkivverket.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&filnamn=uf04121814&spraak=e&metanr=3437 If you know a shortcut to finding emigration information in Norwegian records, that would be a great addition to these records! Again, Mange tusen takk! I appreciate your help!
