Anyone want a challenge? I can't find a marriage. I have been known to miss entries before, but so far I can't find this one. Here we go. Møller (that is his real first given name) Johan Lauritzen was born 19 Mar 1877 in Selvær in Nordland, and he was christened in Træna on May 10. On the 1910 census he is still in Træna Sokn and is still single. Olga Emilie Lorentsdatter was born 15 Mar 1892 in Handå and was christened in Nesna in Nordland on 27 November. On the 1910 census she is still in Nesna sokn and is still single. The 2 volume Slekten Ellingsen books say they married 1 June 1913, but it does not say where. I looked in Træna, Lurøy, Nesna, and Hemnes. The Ellingsen book shows the 1st child in 1918, but again not where. Møller died in Nesna in 1960, and Olga died there in 1983. Hei, Edward. I have looked through Nordland wedding files for Træna, Lurøy, and Nesna (1910 thru 1918).... as well as birth records for 1918... no positive results. What is the name of the 1st-born child? Does it state that he/she was born in- or out-of-wedlock? If the latter, we need to look beyond 1918 for a marriage registration, IF they were later married. In the 1910 census, Møller's father's name is listed as Laurits Farman Hansen. In 1910, Olga is listed as Olufine Emilie Jacobsen. This information might change our search parameters to family names Hansen and Jacobsen during that era, unless you have something else to prove otherwise. Without more detail, it becomes a page by page search through several records, which I'm happy to help with when given the time. Have a nice day!
