I have been unable to find any baptism for Olaus Christoffersen in Hoff parish in Oppland-which at the time was either Ostre toten or Toten. I don't know what to think. I have searched so many records and I cannot believe that I cannot find him. I have never seen records like the marriage record for Olaus that gave the age like the year and then the month and day old. Usually it is the birth year or the age without the month/day. Am I completely off base?????? Hoff is his birth place, and Hoff is a parish in Oppland county, and his residence is Strømsø. The couple is on the 1865 census in Bragernes in Drammen, and he is listed as Olaves Christhofhersen, 38, born Hoff Præstegjeld, and she is listed as Anne Kjerstine Olsdatter, 47, born Drammen (Bragernes is a parish in Drammen by this time).
