    1. Re: [NOR] Translation help request for Sauland parish church record
    2. I think the occupation word is Lodbruger (Lotbruger). A kind of farmer. Like a "Plassbruger" Reina -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- From: Bev Anderson Sent: Monday, March 27, 2017 6:16 AM To: [email protected] ; [email protected] Subject: Re: [NOR] Translation help request for Sauland parish church record You found the correct pages of info, Don. I still can't decipher that (awful) handwriting. I did figure out Saudland is an older spelling of the modern Sauland in Hjartdal municipality (prestegjeld in the records we're dealing with), Telemark. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sauland I tried to find the confirmation record, but didn't see one for this particular Anne Olsdatter and another person with bad handwriting was keeping the records. [If you check the census data as well as the written records, the Norwegian records use the spelling Olsdatter, not Olesdatter, so that's a FamilySearch transcriber assumption/error.] Bev On 3/26/2017 10:22 PM, Don Angevine wrote: > Bev, All, I found it . . . try this url . . . > https://media.digitalarkivet.no/view/7799/39072/61 > Don in Maine USA > Norway Baptisms -- Anne Olesdatter > > Name > Anne Olesdatter > > Gender > Female > > Birth Date > 27 Jul 1853 > > Christening Date > 20 Aug 1853 > > Christening Place > HJARTDAL, TELEMARK, NORWAY > > Father's Name > Ole Johnsen > > Mother's Name > Kjerstie Olsdr > > Citing this Record: "Norway Baptisms, 1634-1927," database, > FamilySearch, > Anne Olesdatter, 27 Jul 1853; citing ; FHL microfilm 278,285. > https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N45P-NLK > > From: "Bev Anderson" <[email protected]> > Sent: Sunday, March 26, 2017 8:58 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [NOR] Translation help request for Sauland parish church > record > If you can re-find the record, send the Quick Link (what used to be > called the Permanent Pagelink)..., not the permanent imagelink which > only gets one the image without the all-important Source data one needs > for one's records, and doesn't allow one to magnify the image very far. > With the Quick Link or Permanent Pagelink we'd be able to see where the > image came from, possibly supplement a transcription and/or translation > with census or other data.
