I am trying very hard to figure out the background f this gentleman: Peter Adrachtas, born in Greece Mar. 15, 1887 or 1888 who in Minot, ND was married in 1927 to one of «my» girls and then moved to Milwaukee, WI This is his naturalization card on FamilySearch: https://www.familysearch.org/search/record/results?count=20&query=%2Bgivenname%3APeder~%20%2Bsurname%3AAdrachtas~%20%2Brecord_country%3A%22United%20States%22%20%2Brecord_type%3A(4) I understand the actual naturalization record is being kept at the National Archives, am I right? Is this a record that you, Carol, may possibly be able to pull at the National Archives for copying? It might give an exact birthplace in Greece and maybe the names of his parents? Dear Harold and other listers! Thank you very much for your question, Harold. As a natter of fact it wasn’t Peter’s wife who came from Luster Co., Norway, but her 1st husband’s mother whose name was Gjertrud «Jane» Urness Robidou (1852-1923). Her oldest son John Henry Robidou of Bismarck, ND (1875-1938) married Elizabeth Cecilia Morin, a native American (1887-1960), but she left him in 1910 leaving her three children behind, and remarried twice, first Feb. 14, 1914 (I never could find out where, but presumably in or near Towner Co., ND!?) to William Paul Wing aka William Paul Edward (1885-1963) and after divorcing him as well, in Minot, ND July 23, 1927 (actually Minot, ND was the place their marriage license was issued, where they actually married, I don’t know…) to Peter Adrachtas aka Peter Allas (1887 or 1888-1969). Kind of a «complicated» family, or what do you think? By the way, Harold, if you should be able to figure out: * Place of Elizabeth’s 2nd marriage on Feb. 14, 1914? * Place of Elizabeth’s 3rd marriage on July 23, 1927? I would be very happy!
