Hi, I ate supper with a friend of my brother who sort of surprised me by talking about the Scandanavian Cooking tv show on PBS. I asked him why he was interested in it, and he said, well I’m Norwegian, you know. I had no idea. I’ve know his parents and grand parents all my life, but never had any clue that Fatland is a Norwegian name. He said his great-great-grandfather came from Norway, lived in Iowa and MN before moving to SD. I mentioned this group and he asked if I thought there was any chance anyone would have any idea where his ancestors came from. Is there any chance anyone has any idea about this family? Thanks! As far as I know there are several farms on the west coast of Norway called Fatland. Some more information about the grandparents would help!
