OK, since we now have Guy and wife Mary this is the right family. So use this Rootsweb Tree it looks really well done... http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=rschrodr01&id=I12532 So Åkre, Skånevik, Hordaland is the home of the Flatland farm, here in 1801 <http://gda.arkivverket.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&sidenr=11&filnamn=f18011212&gardpostnr=68&merk=68#ovre> Cliff Lien Alberta, Canada cjl@interbaun.com
Cliff, that is outstanding! Is there a specific line you're looking at in the second page of records? It looks similar to the US Census where the husband is listed first, then the wife, and their children, etc. Is there a direct translation for Tjæneste dræng or Tjæneste girl or Tjæner de gamle? Am I correct that this is the location of the Fatland settlement? Southern Bergen? Amt Prestegjeld Sokn Gard/hus 68 Søndre Bergenhuus Schonevigs Aakre Fatland Any clarification you can give would be great. Thanks again!
