Dear Listers, Civil War soldier Christen Ludwigson also had a brother who MAY have been a soldier in the Civil War. His name was: Henrik Nitter Ludvigson Elvethun, born in Hafslo, Norway May 5, 1833. Henrik emigrated in 1855 and is 1860 found residing as a farm laborer Henry Ludwigson aged 25 at his uncle Christ Nelson (later a pioneer in Ottawa Co., KS)'s farm near Dodgeville, Iowa Co., WI. Nothing more is ever to be seen of him, and I have reason to think he may have died by 1867, since his sister named her oldest son after him that year!
