    3. After Steve,s message I wonder if his Fatland could be the farm Fatland in Halsnøy, Kvinnherrad, and did a look up that farm in the Kvinnherrad 5, Eid and Fjellberg bygdebok. Before your e-mail pop up I looked at this Hans Anderson and Dortea M.Marie Petersdtr. family with children born from 1849 to 1870. It is written the whole family emigrated to US but not when, and that Hans died in England and was buired there. This is on page 305 in this bygdebok. But Steve,e Fatland most likely are another family.     3. Jostein, Yes, this would appear to be my Fatland family, and it doesn't look to be the family of Steve's friend. Thank you for finding them in the bygdebok! Now I know where they were from.
