Hello, Mathea Brenden's father was Lars Peterson Brenden (1823-1899). Her mother was Berthe or Berta ___. Conflicting info on published trees: 1) Berthe Olsdtr. Mokkelasen, 2) Berthe Olsdatr. Nordlien. Both born abt. 1823. Lars and Berthe were married in 1851. The family is believed to have come to the U.S. in 1866 and settled eventually in Trempealeau Co., Wisconsin. By a stroke of luck, I have found the 02 April 1851 marriage record for Lars Pedersen (24 years old) and Berte Olsdatter (27.5 years old). ENTRY #17 shows Lars living at Nordlien under Christiansborg and Berte at ?Lillekolaasen? (better eyes may get a better reading.) His father is Peder Larsen and her father is Ole Olsen.
