Wanda, Yes, the farm numbers can be an important finding aid when we try to trace records from the past through to today. Finding a farm on a modern online map for example requires an exact spelling of the farm today, but if we can figure out today's farm number that can be used in a search. For cleaning up "replied to" messages I put my cursor at the end of the message portion I want to keep as reference. Try to retain the "question" to which you providing input. Then I hit "Shift-Ctrl_End" which highlights everything to the end of the message. Then just hit Delete...
