    3. Important to see that Ole Kristensson was a miller. He must have been a miller at Libergsfossen. There was a mill at Libergsfossen (foss=waterfall). The mill itself was called Sønsterudkvern (kvern=mill). So Libergsfossen and Sønsterudkvern may be used for the same place. Thank you for deciphering the handwriting. You have an amazing eye, and no doubt much knowledge and experience. Cliff, I find that the records before the standardized forms were used are often much harder to decipher simply because there is a lot less context available to make sense of the content. Regarding Floberg, I found that the family is listed as living at Floberg Søndre in Aasnes, Hoff in the 1801 census. I don't find any of the names listed at Floberg Søndre that Lars extracted out of the parish record, so it appears that the family moved in the five years between the baptism of Kirsti in 1796 and the census. I suspect the lineage I was given. She lived at Lilleberg (or Berg Lille) in Romedal, Hedmark, by the time she was married in 1812, if all of the records I have gathered truly represent the same person. Arild, that is an interesting point about Ole's occupation. He is listed in the 1801 census as "Selv ejer og møller", which Google Translate stumbles over a little, even using Danish as the source language. But it appears to mean that he owned a mill. Any thought on whether this family might have been of Forest Finn lineage? I feel a little uncertain that I have the right Kirsti Olsdatter all the way through from baptism to marriage due to the family's apparent repeated moves. I will see if I can research her further to eliminate possible confusion with someone else. Again, thank you all! -- James Aylard
