Dear List, Jostein helped me find one of the property records that interests me (my 2d great grandfather's purchase of the last farm he owned before he immigrated to the US). Under the best of circumstances, I could do no more than get the gist of the document, but unfortunately the handwriting is a bit scrawlish and hard to read.
