Frederich Wilhelm von Printzen, born in Norway in 1697, the eldest son of Major Hjob Wilhelm von Printzen and his wife Birgitta Chalanna. This information comes from Naval Officerers since 1660. Commander Captain Friderich Wilhelm von Printzen married Susanna Elisabeth Clavel de Letang at Holmens Kirk in Denmark on 22 October 1734 - he was aged 37 and she aged 19. According to his naval records, it shows on 7 January 1740 Friderich was recruiting officer in Egersund and in 1743 he was on the naval ship Nordstiernen in Esk. On 10 June 1747 he was Commander Captain. He died on 25 January 1748 in Kobenhavn. Otto Henrik von Printzen, son of Major Hjob Wilhelm von Printzen and I think a Birgitte Chalanna. According to Ovenstad's Militaerbiographier den Norske Hoers Officerer Fra 18 Januar 1628-17 Mai 1814, pp 267-268, it says he was born between 1701/05 in Kristiansand Norway. Entered military service ca 1719 and served first with the naval cadets for three years and later with Romlings infantry regiment. He retired on 9 December 1760 and died in 1761. He was buried on 20 November 1761 in Kristiana (vor Freisers Kirke). He married Tugendreich Sophie Zeplin (daughter of Jaegermaester Joachim Christoffer von Zeplin and his third wife Ida von Rheder. Birgitte Cathrine von Printzen - no record at all for her birth but she was the youngest of the family. She married a Captain Peter Helmich who came from Hamburg. He and Birgitte lived in Fredrikstad, Ostfold, Norway where Peter died on 21 February 1738. Birgitte then moved to Kobenhavn and became Lady in Waiting to Queen Louise - her father, Major Hjob Wilhelm von Printzen lived with her until his death in 1740. Any help at all will be most appreciated.
