I am trying to find the destiny of this young man: Mathildus Alexander Johan "Tildus" NELSON born July 22, 1876 in Christiania (Oslo), Norway son of Michael Nelson from Finnaas Co., Norway (1838-1895) and his 1st wife Margretha Nilsdotter from Luster Co., Norway (1837-1884) emigrated with his parents in 1880 to Albert Lea, Freeborn Co., MN Michael Nelson was a baker in Albert Lea, MN until 1893 when he opened up a restaurant in Lake Mills, IA. However, he died in an accident in Albert Lea, MN on July 2, 1895, and his 2nd wife Johanna and the children shortly thereafter moved back to Albert Lea, MN. Mathildus "Tildus" is listed with father and stepmother at Lake Mills, IA in 1895, but is gone by 1900, and we believe he may have died.
