    3. Dear Jerrald, Annette, Mark and other Listers! I am indeed amazed! Thank you so very much for this wonderful information that you have found in regard to Christie Boyum Rubbert! I had no idea she had married again after Joseph Rubbert died, and that's obviously why I couldn't find her death! Now I have examined various sources on ancestry.com and on FamilySearch, and it appears her 3rd husband was: Ole T(ollefson) Midthun born Mar. 20, 1866 in Aardal, Sogn, Norway died Mar. 17, 1940 on his son's farm in Vienna township, Dane Co., WI He had married before (1886 or 1887?) to: Severina L. Anderson (Njos) born Aug. 25, 1859 in Waukesha Co., WI grew up in Vienna township, Dane Co., WI died July 29, 1918 in or near DeForest, Dane Co., WI Now, thanks to these new findings I have a few additional questions about this family, which I hope may be solved thanks to the Madison Capital Times newspaper, to which I understand that several of you have access: * Nowhere am I able to find a marriage announcement or marriage record for Ole Midthun and his 1st wife Severina in 1886 (or 1887), and yet they would (logically) have been married in or near Spring Prairie/DeForest, WI. Can you find any information on this? * Also I am missing a marriage date of Ole Midthun and his 2nd wife Christie Boyum Rubbert, which apparently took place in the same area in 1920 (or very shortly thereafter). Are you able to find this? * Finally, I would also be interested in an obituary or a death announcement of Severina Anderson Midthun who died July 29, 1918. Any chance this can be found? Thanks again for your wonderful findings in this matter! Very sincerely yours, Lars E. Oyane PS: To Annette: Yes, Christie's parents used both Nelson and Boyum at various times, so one never knows which name to look for. You know how Norwegians are (or were!) as far as names are concerned... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On May 5, 2015, at 6:30 PM, Mark Erickson via wrote: > Madison Capital Times; June 13, 1923; page 12 > Mrs. Ole Midthun returned home Saturday morning after spending a week at Iowa City with her daughter, Ruby Rubbert, who graduated from the university there. > > Madison Capital Times; April 3, 1931; page 17 > Mrs. Midthun Dies at DeForest Home > Succumbs to Brief Illness Thursday Night at Age of 62 Years > Mrs. Christi Midthun, 62, DeForest, dies Thursday night at her home after a brief illness. > Born in Spring Prairie, she was married to Ole Midthun in 1920 and had since resided in DeForest.
