I looked for this man today, but noticed that there are very limited Portland newspapers for the year he died. I’m not sure why. There are plenty of other Oregon papers, but Portland seems to be missing 1894. Not just online, but also in microfilms. I haven’t done extensive research into the papers available for that date in Portland, but I did find him in the Oregon archives online. It says he died 2 April 1894, City of Portland. His wife seems to show up in GenealogyBank in the Washington newspapers, but I don’t have a subscription to that. -Mark
