SORENSON 3-5-1923 ~ 4-14-2009 On April 14, 2009 Odean Oral Sorenson passed away in his sleep at the age of 86 at Evergreen Rehabilitation Center, in Everett, WA. Odean was greatly loved and cherished by many. Known for his compassion, sense of humor, generosity and strength. Leaving behind four children: Richard A. Sorenson, Deborah K. Todd, Cindy J. Sorenson and Ronald D. Sorenson; fourteen Grandchildren and three great-Grandchildren and too many friends to mention. Odean was married for 54 years to his wonderful wife Ardelle E. Sorenson who passed 5-19-2002. Odean was raised in a small town in North Dakota and served in the Marine Corps, being injured at the age of 20 on the Island of Peleliu in the South Pacific, leaving him partially paralyzed for the remainder of his life. Odean moved to Seattle remaining there to raise his family. A celebration of Life memorial will be held on Saturday April 25, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wandering Creek Clubhouse, 831 Wandering Creek Drive, Bothell, WA 98021. Cards and condolences can be sent to the family at 1197 Islandale Road, Lopez Island, WA 98261. Donations can be made in his name to the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
