    3. Dear Listers! Another "brick wall" has appeared in Albert Lea, MN. Can someone please help me tear it down? ~~~~~ Ole Nilsson Walager, born in Hafslo parish, Luster Co., Norway Dec. 3, 1836, son of Nels Solfestson and Anna Larsdotter, was married in Hafslo June 23, 1863 to Anna Nilsdotter (Halseteigen), born in Hafslo Apr. 16, 1840. One daughter Kirstina (Christine) was born in Hafslo Aug. 29, 1863, and in 1865 the family emigrated. 1870 census: Ole and Anna Nelson in Albert Lea, Freeborn Co., MN 1875 census: Ole and Anna Nelson in Nunda township, Freeborn Co., MN 1880 census: Ole W. and Anna Nelson in Nunda township, Freeborn Co., MN 1885 census: Ole and Anna Nelson in Albert Lea, Freeborn Co., MN 1895 Ole Nelson Walager returned to Albert Lea, Freeborn Co., MN after a visit to Norway 1895 census: Ole and Anna Nelson in Albert Lea, Freeborn Co., MN 1900 census: Anna Nelson in Albert Lea, Freeborn Co., MN - residing with daughter Christine and son-in-law Tom Olson - Anna said to be "married", but no sign of her husband. Anna Nelson died in Albert Lea, Freeborn Co., MN July 2, 1901 - "widowed" There are several Ole Nelsons in Freeborn Co., MN at that time, but I have "sorted them all out", and there is definitely NO death record for "our" Ole Nelson in Freeborn Co., MN! My question: WHAT BECAME OF OLE NELSON? The only "good" candidate I have come up with so far, is this gentleman, living 1910 with the Lars Olson Opsata family in Bemidji, Betrami Co., MN: * Ole N. NELSON, 75, Nor Nor Nor, widowed, em. 1866 Incidentally there was also an Ole N. Nelson in Bemidji, Beltrami Co., MN in 1920, born 1840, but married. This is a different Ole, since in 1910 the latter Ole lived in Hubbard Co., MN with his wife and children! And when the latter Ole died at Bemidji, MN July 12, 1922, his birthdate was given as Mar. 18, 1840 - so definitely a different Ole! Any suggestions regarding the destiny of "my" Ole Nelson will be most welcome! Very sincerely yours, Lars E. Oyane
