Hi Ann, I'm not quite sure what you are looking for? First what was your Dad's name and where/when was he born? Are you trying to figure out what ship he was on when war broke out and how and when he joined the Norwegian Navy? Where do you get this "signing on and off" information? Dad joined the M/S "Viva" on the 13/2/1942 don't know the port probably in Canada or USA. Signed off the "Viva" in Sydney Australia 20/11/1942 & then on the S/S "Agnes", after this point all his signing on & off are in Sydney. He arrived back in Sydney on the M/S "Anders Jane" the day the war ended with Japan. Is there some web site that I could find out the information that I"m after?? I'm really interested in his time in the merchant navy. Also is there records at which ports ships docked during the war??
