    3. Norway Heritage Ship's Lists; the ones with the white square page logo in the Details column have passenger lists. Date of embarkation and arrival at port of destination are listed. http://www.norwayheritage.com/p_year.asp?ye=1861 I recognize the Fjaerestad (Fjæerstad, Fjerstad, Fierstad, etc.) name from Vik Prestegjeld, Sogn og Fjordane, port of embarkation would have been Bergen (alt spellings of Vik: Viik, Vig, Viig, Wik, Wiik, Wig, etc.). I'm not sure where the Fjerstad farm name may have been elsewhere in Norway, but I know there are a few Fjerstad farms in Vik Prestegjeld, Sogn og Fjordane, some emigrants who used that farm name as their American surname went to Iowa and at least one family of Fjerstads from Vik Prestegjeld, Sogn og Fjordane found their way to northwestern Minnesota where they had a very large family (one married my maternal grandmother's sister, so the name is found in my database - but I couldn't find your names in my database; there are several Fjerstad farms in Vik). There is a live webcam overlooking the town and valley in Vik (keep in mind the time difference). There are photos of the farms, meaning of farm names. This is quite an informative and interesting web site: http://vikjavev.no/ Best Wishes, Bev ----- Original Message ----- From: lsharp via <norway@rootsweb.com> To: Norway@rootsweb.com Cc: Sent: Friday, April 10, 2015 11:02 AM Subject: [NOR] Fjaerestad Peder K and Kari ship to America?
