Dear Listers! I have another brick wall challenge for you today: Johannes Torstenson Elvethun born in Hafslo parish, Luster Co., Norway July 6, 1861 was a baker apprentice in Bergen, but then emigrated in 1881 to Stoughton, WI was back to visit Norway in 1884 and reemigrated in 1885. The 1900 census shows John T. Elverton as a single baker, residing at Hamilton, Ravalli Co., MT, which is the last I can find of him! All we know for sure is that he had died prior to 1940! What became of John? Did he ever leave Hamilton? Maybe John Elverton's name figures in newspaper articles from back then? Thanks a million in advance for any suggestions!
