Dear Thelma and other Listers! I am happy to inform you that Vince Allen answered my e-mail, and I have just talked to him on the phone! He was able to update me quite well on the family, and for once he could tell me his father Vince Sr. is still very much alive, in North Carolina! He is 96! One story Vince told me, which would qualify for "Ole and Lena": Old Ludwig Nitter always told his grandchildren he was the only Norwegian to be chased out of the navy in WW1. And why, would the grandchildren ask? Well, you know, I came on a submarine, and I always insisted on sleeping with the window open...! Thanks again for helping me out with this family! Very sincerely yours, Lars E. Oyane ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Begin forwarded message: > From: "Lars E.
