    3. Vi elsker deg også, Lars! I will echo Reina and others: Don't go anywhere! You have some interesting cases, and it's fun to read some of the info, so I'm learning things just seeing what people come up with because I haven't had any occasion to do research in many of the states or local regions where others have found data, so it's nice to know how much data is out there..., and gather new links to databases to keep in my favorites file in case I need them at some point. I've been keeping irregular hours for a while, and what research I've been doing has detoured in other directions, but it's still always fun to catch up with the latest research projects you and others are doing. Norway Listers have always been my genealogy network of choice, so I would be quite heartbroken if all research moved over to Facebook (as I've said before, I'm not a member; I just can't give up that much privacy). I've long considered Norway Listers as friends..., so in all sincerity, I say: Være godt, kjære venner. Med vennlig hilsen, Bev ----- Original Message ----- From: Lars E. One is attempted to think that noone else has any genealogical problems any more... I just wanted to let you know; I have been a lister for MANY years, and I always get such wonderful assistance from various listers to enlighten me on some of these very "elusive" emigrants from Luster Co., Norway. I guess you may say that I LOVE the list and the listers. Without your assistance in many of these questions I would NEVER have been able to present a bygdebook as complete as it is, and from which I know that many many people will profit in the years to come! And once I am done with my work I intend to keep on helping as many of you as possible to solve your problems! I know I will never reach up to Viggo Fosse or Daraleen, but I can give it a try... I send my best greetings from Germany to the Country of the Rising Sun! Very sincerely yours, Lars E. 3. Hello Bev, Barbara and all, I agree with you both, Lars asks for assistance from those more familiar with some aspects of his research. Especially from those living in countries where the families he is researching settled. I live in Australia and though archives, libraries and government agencies worldwide are usually the custodians of historical documents, free access to the information they hold differs greatly. It is always refreshing to read how the "A" team on this list tackle the brick walls faced by Lars and many of us from time to time. Requesting information from such a variety of sources and the replies posted often gives clues to locating more obscure records we may never have thought to use. We can all learn something from every Q & A. Lars keeps the list active, educational and friendly.
