    3. Dear Listers! To find the whereabouts and destiny of this Mary Johnson is probably one of the "toughest" tasks that remain in my County History project, but how do we go about to find her? One way is to check for example the 1900 census looking for Mar* born in Norway 1865 +- 2 years, emigrated 1885 +- 2 years, but this turns up numerous alternatives which need to be studied... Another way might be to find obituaries for all of her older siblings, hoping that at least ONE of these obituaries lists surviving siblings: * Hans J. URNESS, died at Colfax. Whitman Co., WA Jan. 15, 1926 * Martha (Mrs. Nels S) KINS (mother of the cowboy Nels Kins), resident of Mondovi, Buffalo Co., WI, died in Eau Claire, WI Mar. 19, 1904 * Nels J. KINS, died near Shell Lake, Washburn Co., WI Nov. 28, 1920 * Anna HAUGEN (HOGEN), used to live at Barronett near Shell Lake, Washburn Co., WI, but retired to Superior, Douglas Co., WI where she died May 13, 1930 * John J. HILL, died at Roseglen, McLean Co., ND June 15, 1923 * Chris J. HILL, died in Mondovi, Buffalo Co., WI May 30, 1946 Any chance some of these obituaries can be found? Thanks again for your wonderful assistance in this matter! Very sincerely yours, Lars E. Oyane ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On Mar 4, 2015, at 1:24 PM, Lars E. 3. The most common way that I find aUS obit is thru the local library where the person died or lived most of their life. I find their website and contact them. -----Original Message----- From: norway-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:norway-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Lars E.
