Dear Annette and other Listers! Thank you very much, Annette, for your great message from yesterday with more news about our "famous" gold miner Andrew Groves as well as about the Ryans. You mention that Charles M. Ryan appears to have been an elected representative from Montrose Co., CO in the Colorado legislature. Then it surprises me that no obituaries can be found for him or for his wife Clara!? Charles M. Ryan 1857-1925 Clara Ryan nee Land 1864-1934 Thanks again for your great assistance in this matter. I'll keep my fingers well crossed hoping for something to show up... Very sincerely yours, Lars E. 3. Dear Sherrie and other Listers! Thank you very much, Sherrie, for your interesting messages on the Ryans! I didn't have the exact locations of the graves, but whether it can help further, I don't know. According to the local Montrose, CO library, they have the records from the funeral home, and they were unable to find any exact death dates, which surprises me. But if this is a city cemetery, maybe the city office would have information? I will give that a try tomorrow... It would be so great to find those exact death dates for the Ryans... Thanks again for your great assistance in this matter! Very sincerely yours, Lars E. 3. Dear Sherrie, Doris and other Listers! This afternoon I called the City of Montrose, CO, and I received the following information: * Charles M. Ryan was buried on May 31, 1925 * Clara A. Ryan was buried on Aug. 21, 1934 Maybe with this information is it possible to find obituaries or at least death notices for them? Thanks again for your great assistance in this matter!
