Jostein, thank you so much for transcribing the record for Gregers Olsen! I very much appreciate this. Regarding Ole Ericksen Qværnholtet, who is my 2d great grandfather, I am still trying to piece details together. He actually migrated to Tromsøysund in Troms county where he farmed, married Eline Eliasdatter, and had his first child, Edvard. I am not sure of the timing of his departure from Trysil to Tromsøysund, but he appears to have immigrated to the United States sometime in 1860. I'm hoping that by gathering as many of the details of his life at this time as possible, I might begin to piece together a better understanding of what motivated his decisions to move north, and eventually to emigrate. I do not have access to Trysil-boka 8, although I have seen references to it. I would still like to obtain transcriptions of the real estate entries involving Ole E. Qværnholtet, if someone is willing to attempt it. Or if someone can recommend a commercial service that might transcribe lengthier records of this nature, I would be interested such recommendations. Thanks again. I did some screenshots of the Trysil-book from nb.no webpage. I can send the copies off list. What real estate record involving Ole Kvernholtet are you interested in? I could try a transcription if it's not too long.
