There are SOO many families I wish to locate in the United States, and as I was going thru my files this afternoon, I discovered this inquiry of mine from last June, which apparently received no answers, so I try it once again. Thanks a million for any suggestions in this matter - which will all make me very happy! Very sincerely yours, Lars E. Oyane ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > On Jun 12, 2017, at 4:12 AM, Lars E. Dear Jerry and other Listers, I am sorry to be late on this topic, but wish to thank you, Jerry, for your message which «summarizes» some if the «old» information I have on the Lars Jacobson, his 1st wife Lizzie Pike with two children, Frank and Albert, the 2nd of which later shows up as Albert Gohde, a son that Lizzie had by her 2nd husband, Herman Gohde, whom she married in 1882. Maybe ut took that long for Lizzie’s divorce from Lars Jacobson to become final…!? By the way, I believe Frank Jacobson, who was definitely Lars’ son, must have died at a young age, probably before 1900. As far as Lars Jacobson is concerned, I still strongly suspect he be the opne who shows up in Moscow, Latah Co., ID in 1910. Lars is one of several Sogning emigrants who appear to have lived in the Genesee Valley area of Western Idaho around the turn of the century who just are rarely to be found in the census records from that period. The census records seem to be extremely inexact or incomplete…! Still I do hope that someone can help me locate further details about this Lars Jacobson from Moscow, ID from the 1910 census who was apparently still living there as late as in 1916!? Thanks again for your great assistance in this matter! Very sincerely yours, Lars E. I have various relatives who settled on farms in the area of Moscow, Idaho and LaCrosse WAshington in the late 1800s and early 1900s. All from the Sogn Fjord originally. Some apparently went to that area quickly after immigrating; and others left Dodge County, MN as young parents, where they were born to parents from the Sogn Fjord. A book, 'Norse to the Palouse' captures some of that histsory. Another book captures the Fjaerestad / Langeteig family, written by a family member. If any of that is of interest, I have a little info on it. Linda in Alaska On Wed, 2 May 2018 05:25:23 -0500, "Lars E.
