(Bob) Norton, age 67, a resident of New Mexico for 26 years, passed away on July 6, 1998. He is survived by daughter, Michaela O'Brien-Norton and husband, B. Michael Cormier of Dover, NH; son, Matthew C. Norton of Braintree, MA; three sisters, Alice O'Brien, Jane Stefaney, Virginia Cooper; four brothers, John J. Norton, Thomas V. Norton, Paul T. Norton, Vincent G. Norton; three grandchildren, Ian, Niall, Flannery Cormier. Bob was the past President of the New Mexico Health Resources Board of Directors, was selected by the American Academy of Physician Assistants as the United States Inner City Physician Assistant of the Year, he was past President of the New Mexico Academy of Physician Assistants, and in 1993 was named New Mexico"PA of the Year." He was a 20-year veteran of the US Navy, serving in both Korea and Vietnam. Visitation will be held at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE, Wednesday, July 8, 1998, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Following visitation a! Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 9, 1998, 9:00 a.m., at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, 2005 N. Plaza NW, with Father Leo Lucero as Celebrant.
