What I have is that Dorr Norton was born in New York, but I have not confirmed that. If the info I have is correct, the Dow's and the Norton's went to Wisconsin about the same time in 1856 and about 1864 in Winconsin Luria Dow married Dorr Norton. The Dow's and the Norton's moved to an area around Decorah Iowa in 1867. You can find them in the 1870, 1880 and 1900 census reports. When Luria Dow's mother passed away in 1908 I have been told they moved to South Dakota, but I haven't been able to find them on any census reports. I know the Norton's had a son named Alvin Norton and I'm guessing he moved with them to South Dakota. I also have a report that says the Norton's are buried in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Cresco, Iowa.
