Found these in a scrapbook. Mr. and Mrs. S.G. Norton were entirely surprised Wednesday evening while sitting quietly in their home, by the arrival of a party of about sixty of their relatives, neighbors and friends, who had gathered to celebrate the tirty fifth anniversary of their marriage. The people came laden with good things eatable, and took possession of the house. Inasmuch as this worthy couple have prospered with this world's goods, it was not esteemed necessary that the party should take gifts as proof of their friendship. Mr. and Mrs. Norton have requested me to thank through these columns, the kind friends for their thoughtfulness of them, and will remember the happy occaion while life lasts.
