He was born in County Galway Ireland approx.1835, son of James Norton and Mary Clancy. Michael married Catherine Feeney in Ireland and they eventually settled in Medford, MA. He served in the Union Army from MA. Died in 1899. He also used the names Naughton, Feeney and Finney. Michael and Catherine had many children-according to the 1900 census there were 16-9 living at the time. My great grandfather was their son-John W. Norton The family was mainly in Medford right up until the 1950's. My grandmother was John's daughter-Elizabeth. Do I connect with any one ?
