Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Qi3.2ACIB/1505.1508.1.1 Message Board Post: The info you refer to is Connecticut Aprentices 1937-1900 p.98 Norton, Asa, of Suffield, child of John Norton, bound to Dr. Andrew Graham of Woodbury for term of 2 years (renegotiable to 3 years) to learn the trade of physicking. (Indenture was renewed to 3 years) IND. DATE: 07 Apr 1757 This is available on Ancestry.com Also Probate Papers of Danbury#3488 "On 20 Nov. 1786 Asa Norton, a minor of Newtown, being of age for choosing a guardian{ie. over 14 years of age} chose Mrs. Mabel Norton, widow of Asa Norton of Newtown, to be his lawful guardian until he arrive at the age of twenty one years. And on 22 November 1786 Mabel Norton as principal with Abraham Baldwin as surety was bonded guardian to Asa Norton, son of Dr. Asa Norton, deceased, a minor of about 17 years. I think that this last pretty well proves the connection of the two Asa's. If you do learn anything on the relationship of Nathaniel to this family please let me know.
