MARTY - I have a Samuel Smith Norton b. May 1818 Granville, NY, married Electa Steele Nov. 1841, he d. Mar. 1896 in Centralia, WI. His father was Samuel Smith Norton, supposedly from Ireland? came here just prior to the War of 1812. He married Zelpha Nichols. I have been unable to find anything on them.
