    1. [NORTON] HLA-B27
    2. My lineage is as follows: William, Nicholas I, Nicholas II, Priscilla then thru the Butlers & Newcombs. My GrGrandfather died at age 45 of Rheumatism. (it's actually on the death certificate) He was terribly crippled. My son has Uveitis, also known as Iritis. The specialist ran blood tests to find the cause, and found that my son has HLA-B27 phenotype. This is associated with many forms of arthritis and rheumatism, some of them are very bad, it's also associated with inflamatory bowel disease. I feel sure this has been inherited from my GrGrandfather. I would like to know if any of you have found this, or have suffered from Uveitis. Sometimes the Dr. doesn't take the steps necessary to track it down. Uveitis is often reoccuring, brought out during extreme stress.
