Although the NORTONs of Litchfield Co. CT, particularly in Goshen, seem well described, many of the descendent lines don't appear in print. In particular, I'm trying to find out which family of NORTONs Rhoda NORTON (b. 1801) and Isaac A. NORTON (b. 1799) came from. They settle during the 1820s in what is now Lake Co. OH and are both buried in Mentor municipal cemetery. Isaac A. NORTON married Rosetta HOWE (alias BROWN) in Cornwall in 1827, and Rhoda NORTON married Dudley NOWLEN in Mentor, Lake Co. OH in 1820. Isaac and Rhoda are likely to be either brother-sister or cousins. --- Steve Johnston
