The baby was 6 months not 6 yrs. so if this is the same Henry Wilson Norton the child probably didn't live to 1860. I believe Elizabeth's maiden name was Crabtree. Malinda could be her sister if she had been married before which would explain her last name as Carter. David was supposed to have married Elizabeth's sister so if Malinda went by Linda or if the census taker for 1860 Parker County just heard Linda which would explain why she is listed as L. Norton then his 1st wife could have died and he then married Malinda. My David and Henry were both born in Tennessee as were both of the men on the 1850 census for Van Zandt County, Texas.
