Surnames: Norton Winch Uxbridge bef .1655 Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Qi3.2ACIB/1144.1199.1201.1203.1213.1214.1216.1217.1 Message Board Post: The Sharpenhoe Norton could be from the 'De Norville' of 1066 and all that and they sold up and dispered in the mid 1600's - to the America's for one, but not all went that far - as the Uxbridge parish register shows a Daniel Norton married a Dorothy WINCH [another good Bedfordshire name, back then] on 10th October 1655 - Where did he come from? Bedfordshire, just 15 miles from Rickmansworth where he is buried? of further? I would like to know where he came from. As to where he went, well not far from where I am right now, according to his, his wifes and descendants wills.
