William is one of the ons of David Norton and Sarah Shelton, and I have commonly seen him and Catherine listed with only two children: Catherine (my ancestor b. 1833 m. Charles Gunter) and David (b.1827). However, I have also seen them listed with seven other children: James (1829), William, Hackley(1837), Robert (1841), Arta (1844), Joseph (1846), and Melinda (1849). I am curious because William (b.1830 d.1923 m. Judith Gosnell) is also distantly connected to the Gunter/Gosnell/Chandler line (in more than one place), so I am trying to verify what I have seen on various sites. Please contact me if you know these claims are true.
