Others date from 1859-61 .the 1859 letter is posted to Madras and is posted from India Reform society and seems to refer to some sensitve political matters such as the Indian question, also a letter Norton must have written to the statesmen(a newspaper)Also something called the Petty Jurors case and what seems to read as the Zanjure case(Zanjoni case?) with much government mentioning The name sir C>J>W>Bright comes up and letter is signed Dickinson. Another letter is form the House of Commons(1861)stating (my agent for Davisons affairs in Madras is Arbuthnotto whom you can pay £500.00 this is a fortune in India even today!!!!letter fromJames Clay) Interestingly ,friends it seems call him Jack An envelope (no letter inside)dated 1911 is addressed to Eardley Norton Calcutta so ,I guess this must be a close relative.I f anyone wants photo copies I guess I can arrange this.
