The Monitor does not guarantee the accuracy of original content that now resides off its web site. Richard A. Norton, TILTON Tuesday, November 25, 2003 TILTON-Richard A. Norton, 72, of West Main Street, died yesterday at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia. He was born in Peabody, Mass., the son of Edmund and Florence (Simpson) Norton. He moved to Tilton as a child and was a longtime resident of the town. He served with the Air Force as a staff sergeant for 10 years, including during the Korean War. Norton worked for Arwood Corp, in Northfield for 30 years before retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Whiteman-Davidson American Legion Post No. 49 in Tilton. He enjoyed flea markets and was an avid sports fan. He especially loved the Patriots and Red Sox. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Beryl (Brown) Norton of Tilton; two sons, Keith Norton of Ashland and Kelly Norton; a daughter, Keely Norton; a sister, Kay Flowers of Davies, Fla.; a grandson; and an aunt, nieces and nephews. Calling hours will not be held. Graveside services will be held tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Park Cemetery in Tilton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Rockville, Md. 20852. Thibault-Neun Funeral Home in Franklin is in charge of the arrangements. Note: I am of no relation, but my sympathies go out to those of you who are. This is here as a lasting memorial for Mr. Norton.
