My brick wall is my gggrandfather Robert White Norton. I have very little information on him before 1850. He was b in Manchester England according to his death certificate. He married Martha Croft in New Orleans, LA. I have found him on the 1850 New Orleans census and on the 1860 & 1870 censuses living in Harrison Co., MS, he is back in New Orleans by 1880. He died in 1904 in New Orleans. I do not know who his parents were and I am not sure if he was born in Manchester since this information was supplies by others. According to family lore he was related to a Holmes. Can anyone help.
