Norton's are very well documented. , There was one family who moved from Mass. to NY. Washington County. They had a Josiah and a Solomon. Same as are family. Washington County back then was Albany County they bordered on the new England states but no boundries had been set at that time. Believe Josiah Norton retired to Maine after the Revolution.
