Dear Bill, Lillian did not have a brother. This is well documented. In the 1870 Census, Edwin, age 50 his wife Amanda age 48, daughter Onie age 24, Annie age 22 and Lillian age 12, were all living in a boarding house that they ran. (see 1870 Census, Boston, Suffolk Co., Ma., Ward 10, Roll 646 pg. 357) His eldest daughter Emogene and husband Emilo Castillo and their son Edwin, were also living at the boarding house, and so was William Baldwin, Annie future husband, married 1872. Onie's is AKA Annie Bartlett Norton. Lillian graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music in 1876. "Not many days later Amand and Lillian left Boston for New York" for lessons with Madame Maretzek. Onie had become Mrs. George Walker, Annie had married William Baldwin and Edwin went to go live with the Baldwin's. This information from "Yankee Diva" pg. 27.
