Her father was Leslie Carl or Carl Leslie. For some reason or another he changed his last name to Smith. He was killed when a car he was working on fell on him in Missouri, my mother-in-law was 8 or 9 at this time. That was in 58 or 59. His family refused to continue to keep in touch with his 2 children after his death because they did not approve of his wife Irene who was an alcoholic. The only Norton family members other than her dad and uncle Floyd that she remembers was her grandfather Harold. This is all the info that I have.
