Their father was John Norton of Virginia and their mother was Mary W.(walker? wilson?) Owen of So. Carolina. Post Master Index for Texas has David O. Norton in Tarrant Co. (Hopkins) on 13, July 1847 and in Parker Co. (Weatherford) on 18 Sept. 1856. John Norton is in Parker Co. 9 Feb. 1866. As far a census records: 1850 - John & Mary W. Owen are in Greene Co. Missouri. 1860 - They are in Parker Co. Tx. 1870 Parker Co. Tx. In 1860 - David Owen Norton and H.W. are in Parker Co. Tx. I have the following kids for John Norton, but don't know if he was married more than once. I suspect he was as there is a gap in years between kids. Kate) abt. 1835 Sarah Ellen Norton abt. 1839 I'm guessing that at least David, Henry, John Fletcher and maybe Serena were Mary Owen Norton's children.
