There were no Europeans in Massachusetts until 1620. This identification of Nicholas Norton's wife is highly doubtful. I think the theory that Elizabeth's surname was ISAAC- she name her first born Isaac - It was common to give a child the maiden name of the mother- I only have one child for them, Isaac NORTON b 3 May 1641 Tisbury, Dukes, MA d 1723 Edgartown, Dukes, MA md c 1663 Tisbury, Dukes, MA TO Ruth BAYES bp 1 July 1643 Tisbury, Dukes, MA d .....
